Selmer Saxharmonic - the orchestra of saxophone vituosos
Selmer Saxharmonicuntites 12 of
the most established and well known German saxophonist and forms an outstanding
and unique ensemble consisting of all the instruments of the saxophone family,
from sopranino to bass saxophone.
Founded in 2006, Selmer Saxharmonic played its first concert at the
“Oleg Kagan Musikfest” in Kreuth,
Germany and was
conducted by Milan Turković.
Already one year later, the ensemble opened the famous “Moselfestwochen”
and also played in the “Barocksaal Schloß Tegernsee” and at the “Salle Henri
Selmer” in Paris.
Members of chambermusic ensembles such as panta rhei, Sax Allemade, and
clair-obscur, all of them winners of international competitions, create new
dimensions of saxophone sounds.
Concerts at the ORF (Austrian Radio) in Vienna, at the “Festspiele Europäische Wochen
Passau” and the festival “Styriarte” by Nikolaus Harnoncourt, show the success
and the inimitability of Selmer Saxharmonic – the orchestra of saxophone
virtuosos.
